Jesus Christ, Canada. What the fuck?

You don’t need to take free speech away entirely, just timeshift it away from when it’s effective.

“Pretty soon we find out why. During a nighttime drive, after Bella and Eddie go to a restaurant and Eddie orders nothing and she orders mushroom ravioli (Stephenie Meyers’ favorite detail in the books, you can tell she thinks she’s being so specific and writerly — people now have Twilight parties and order mushroom ravioli, because people are lame), she’s all “You move fast, you’re supes dupes strong, you’re never around on sunny days, you’re pale, you’re wearing a cape, and you can count really well. You are vampyr, are you not?” Eddie is so upset. SO UPSET. You see he is a tortured vampire. It is really hard to be near humans and not eat their faces. Especially a miraculous human like Bella. Eddie can read humans’ thoughts, but not Bella’s. This makes her so enticing. So though he wants to be near her, he can’t, for her safety. And thus truly begins a books-long narrative about a woman constantly needing a man’s protection. Yayyyy girls!” —

Everything That’s Happened in the Twilight Movies So Far by Richard Lawson.

See? I really have no reason to see the Twilight movies when a recap like this exists.

And now I need never see Twilight, either. XD

Car hits bicyclist

A bicyclist was struck by a car around 5 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of East Wayne Street and South Anthony Boulevard.

The driver said in the Fort Wayne Police Department report that he turned north on Anthony from Wayne Street and saw the bicyclist at the intersection. The driver said he turned left, and stopped when he saw the girl on her bike. He said she stopped too, so he continued and did as well and he struck her on the rear tire.

The girl said in the report she was crossing Anthony, but could not stop because her bike does not have brakes on it.

She reported pain in her left arm and said that the vehicle struck her bicycle, not her leg; she was taken to Lutheran Hospital.
